Garry Alvin “Tank” Wood

With loving arms of compassion the Horton’s Funeral Home Family is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. Garry Alvin Wood  “Tank” as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Mr. Wood closed the curtains of life on November 17, 2022. 

The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order.  Beginning on Friday, November 25, 2022 between the hours of 5pm-7pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremation, Mr. Wood will lie in state for a final glimpse for family and friends. The Celebration of Life Service will commence on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Dr. Kera Johnson, Eulogist.

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Doziers Thickett Cemetery. It is in this place that his physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

Guests are being received at 106 Wynne Fork Ct. where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

As hard as it will be for Tank’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
