With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with the family of Mrs. Faye Lynn Rankins Harrell as they prepare to say “Rest In Peace”. Mrs. Harrell transitioned from this life on Friday, August 11, 2023.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 2pm at Church of Deliverance with Pastor Ferebee, Officiating. A Viewing and Visitation will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5pm-7pm at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss.
Immediately following the services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Harrell’s earthen vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to Church of Deliverance Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.
As hard as it will be for Faye’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
Faye leaves to cherish her loving memory of her mother, Katie Rankins; husband Donald Harrell; and daughters, Shakita Goode (David), Kowanda Cooper (Dennis), Deshae Rankins (Quentin) and Domonique Harrell (Felicia). She is also survived by eight sisters; Marilyn Sessoms, Connie Sawyer, Gwen Wilson, April Crump, Sharon Rankins, Wanda Rankins, Wendy Rankins, and Sharita Rankins and three brothers; Larry Rankins, Michael Rankins, and Morris Rankins. Faye has seventeen grandchildren; Donesha (Anthony), Ty’jour, Kha’nyzah, Daeja, Najah, Tynesha, Rashida, Tyion, Tyheim, Demorjay, Ja’keria, Kowana, Semaj, Serenity, Kayona, and Amillion; sixteen great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father Randolph Rankins and four children.
The Horton’s Funeral Home Family is providing any measure of assistance available to the Rankins/Harrell and connected families during this emotional time.
