Ervin Carlton Lightfoot

Ervin Carlton Lightfoot, born January 26, 1945 in Winfall, NC affectionately known as Bubba to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at his home in Virginia Beach on January 9, 2025, to be with his heavenly Father. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his spirit will continue to live on in their hearts. As we celebrate his life, we remember the laughs and the stories Ervin so joyfully told to anyone that would listen. Bubba, known for his warm smile, and the ability to make friends wherever he went was a testament to his genuine and welcoming nature. He has never met a stranger. He touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion. Although, Ervin retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he continued to work for himself as an Entrepreneur developing several businesses. Ervin also retired from his landscaping business of over 20 years. His work ethic was commendable, inspiring those around him to strive for excellence.

Ervin "Bubba" Lightfoot was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Hazel Lightfoot and brothers Abram, Roger and Delton Lightfoot. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Lightfoot, two sons, Sean Lightfoot (Johnnetta) and Brandon Lightfoot (Jazmin), and brothers, Sidney Lightfoot (Wanda) and Anderson Lightfoot (Winifred), his grandchildren Shakeela Creighton, Autymn Lightfoot, and Brandon Lightfoot, Jr. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many family members.

In remembering Ervin, we celebrate a life that has touched many and will continue to inspire all.
