Elmer Levoine Kee

As the day draws closer to the end than when it began, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with loving arms wrapped around the relatives of Mr. Elmer Levoine Kee as we embark on the “Last Mile” on this side of the Jordan with him. Mr. Kee got his ticket and stepped on that Morning Train Monday, March 13, 2023. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life Service will begin on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations in Hertford, NC with Pastor Tyrone Smith, Officiating.

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service with Military Honors will come forth in the Cedarwood Cemetery. It is in this place that his physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

As hard as it will be for Elmer’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Elmer leaves to cherish his memories his children, Lasandra White, Cassandra Kee, Ramon (Tim) Roberts and Christopher Carter; siblings, Damon Kee, Morris Kee, and Dorothy Gilliam; 14 grandchildren; 1 unborn grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
