Edward Eugene Wise

The moment has come and the Horton’s Funeral Home Family has been given the solemn duty to announce that Edward Eugene Wise, is no longer troubled with the cares of this world but he is now resting among the Heavenly Host. Mr.Wise began his Life of everlasting peace on Tuesday October 31,2023 while resting at UNC Lenoir Health Care Kinston, NC.

The Services honoring Edward’s legacy will take place Monday November 6,2023 at 1pm at Haven Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Manteo, NC with Minister Patricia D. Tillett delivering words of comfort. During this time, family and friends can gather and remember better days with Edward while relying on their faith to get them through this difficult time. As difficult as it will be for his family to dismiss from this earthly resting place without Edward, all will find solace knowing he is in that land where there is a tree and its leaves are good for the healing of all infirmities. There, he will rest by the brook flowing with living water, forever resting in eternal paradise.

Eddie is survived by three siblings, Deborah Ann Wise of Portsmouth, VA; Ruth Edna Wise of Manteo, NC; and Elwood Brothers of Elizabeth City, NC. He is also survived by his Nephew, Tyrique Wise of Manteo, NC; his Great Niece, Destiny Marquis of Elizabeth City, NC; Great Nephew, Kingston Legget of Virginia Beach, Virginia; he also leaves behind a host of special cousins in whom he was raised with, Darrell Collins, Yolanda Collins, Sharonda Lee, Deborah Tillett, and Josephine Wise Parks.
