With a multitude of compassion and concern, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family announces the earthly departure of Ms. Edith Ray Hunter. Ms. Hunter pulled the drapes on this journey called life on Friday, November 18, 2022 in Elizabeth City, NC.
The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Ms. Hunter have been finalized and will commence on Tuesday, November 22,2022 at 1pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel. Ms. Hunter will lie in state from 12noon until time of service.
Guests are being received at 104 Wynne Fork Ct. Hertford, NC 27944 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
As hard as it will be for Edith’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
The Compassionate Professionals of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are serving the Hunter and connected families with uncompromising dignity.
