Dorothy Mae Coffield

The book of Job declared "the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." It is with genuine sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly departure of Mrs. Dorothy Mae Coffield. Mrs. Coffield moved into her Heavenly home on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

A Glorious Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 3:30pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel in Hertford, NC with Dr. Darius J. Horton Officiating/Eulogist. 

Immediately following the Celebration of Life, Mrs. Coffield’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Beaver Hill Cemetery for Committal Rites.

Although Mrs. Coffield’s family will leave that earthly resting place without this virtuous woman, they will rest knowing that she is now among the Heavenly Hosts singing that glorious hymn "When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we will sing and shout the victory."

The Compassionate Family of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations is there around the clock to assist the Coffield family and connected families during this difficult hour with genuine love and concern.
