It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Mr. Donnell Stokley Jr. as he peacefully answered the Master's call on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in Elizabeth City, NC. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel at 1pm. Mr. Stokley will lie in peaceful repose from 12Noon until time of service. 

Guests are being received at 104 Tiff Lane Elizabeth City, NC 27909 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

Although Donnell closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing, he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
