Demetrius Keene Johnson

Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations to inform all that Demetrius Keene Johnson is now resting in Paradise. Mr. Johnson put down the cares of this Life on December 25,2023 at his residence in Memphis, Tennessee.

On January 19,2023 beginning at 1PM a Celebratory Service of Remembrance will be held at Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church.During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Following the Life honoring services in the sanctuary, Mr. Johnson along with his adored family, will be escorted to his earthly resting place in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. 

As hard as it will be for Demetrius’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
