“It must have been cold there in my shadow to never have sunlight on your face. You were content to let me shine, that's your way - you always walked a step behind. So, I was the one with all the glory, while you were the one with all the strength. A beautiful face without a name for so long, a beautiful smile to hide the pain. Did you ever know that you're my hero? And everything I would like to be, I can fly higher than an eagle; for you are the wind beneath my wings.”
With determination to provide genuine comfort during this difficult moment in a family’s life, The Horton’s Funeral Home Family has been charged with the solemn duty to advise all that Mrs. Deborah Ransom-Bryant has transitioned from this life into life eternal as of Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in Greenville, NC.
The services have been methodically arranged in an order that those special to Mrs. Bryant and her adored family can take part. Commencing on Saturday, November 29, 2025, between the moments of 10am and 11am, a time of visitation and reflection will be held at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Creswell, NC as Mrs. Bryant’s delicate temple rests in a state of peaceful repose at the altar in the House of Worship. A Triumphant “Royal Send-Off” Ceremony will be called to order following the visitation beginning at 11am, also at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with her Pastor Rev. Tyrone Harrison delivering the Eulogy and Dr. Ricky L. Banks, Officiating.
Immediately following the Order of Service in the sanctuary, Mrs. Bryant’s earthen vessel along with her adored family, will be escorted to St. John Church Cemetery for interment rites. Yes, this is as far as Mrs. Bryant’s relatives can trod with her on this side of eternity, however, John the Revelator has sent good news to Mrs. Bryant’s loving family when he sat one day and put pen to parchment writing, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and they shall be no more death neither sorrow because the former things have passed away.” Let the church say......... Amen.
Guests are being received at 24A Woodgate Apts. Columbia, NC 27925 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
The Compassionate Professionals at Horton Funeral Home and Cremations are humbled to be a part of this precious family and serve them with uncompromising dignity and love during this difficult time.
