With many mixed emotions and understandable broken hearts, the Horton Family joins with the family of Ms. Debbie Revell Tappin as they prepare to say “Rest In Peace”. Ms. Tappin entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2026.
Debbie Revell-Tappin was born on November 13,1959 to the late Wilton M. “Dave" Revell and Christine R. Taylor-Revell. Debbie was reared and attended public schools in Hempstead, New York. Debbie established and ran her own home-based daycare center. She worked as a bus operator for MTA and retired as a school bus driver in Hertford North Carolina.
Debbie was preceded in death by her brothers, Reginal, Jeffrey and Stepfon; sister, Sheila and nephew, Rasheen Winfield.
Debbie is survived be her daughter, Squania Menton; sibling, Charlene Revell; Great Aunts, Eva Johnson, and Shirley Revell-Ellis; Uncles, Bernard Revell and Archie Freeman; Grandchildren, Jada Powell, Cairo Menton, Celeste Barista, and Rafael Barista; Nieces and Nephews, Gia Winfield, Lavar Revell Sr, Vanity Matthews, and Mycal Matthews; great nieces and nephews, Imani Van Dyke, Ra'Nasia Winfield, Ra'Mir Winfield, Hasan Harris, Maliah Matthews, Anaiah Matthews, Riley Winfield, Kendall Winfield, Lavar Revell Jr along with a host of family and friends.
