It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Ms. Deanna Nicole Hunt as she peacefully answered the Master's call on Saturday, September 16, 2023.
The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Ms. Hunt have been finalized and will commence with a Graveside Service on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1pm at Mt. Gilead AME Church Cemetery with Rev. Andre P. Jefferson Sr., Officiating and Rev. Marvette Hines-DeCree, Eulogist.
As hard as it will be for Deanna’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
She leaves behind her beloved partner Frederick Brown; her mother, Evelyn Shearin (stepfather Caleb); stepmother, Brenda Hunt; brothers, Durand Hunt and Al Young, Sr.; sister, Chasity Hunt; niece, Diamond Hunt; nephew Al Young, Jr.; fur babies, Lil Man and Sir Hoss, as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nicole did not know a stranger and to know her was to love her. If you had the opportunity to connect with her, you knew she was one of a kind. A true treasure is no longer with us.
The Professionals at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Hunt and connected families.
