It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Mr. David Wayne Sutton Sr. as he peacefully answered the Master's call on Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Elizabeth City, NC. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 21, 2025 at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel at 2pm. Immediately following the services in the chapel, Mr. Sutton’s delicate temple will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for Committal Rights.

Guests are being received at 407 Coke Ave. Edenton, NC 27932 where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

Although David closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing, he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
