With an abundance of love and concern, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family is embracing the loved ones of Mrs. Darlene Jeanette Blount Griffin, as they prepare to say “Farewell” to a link to their family chain. Mrs. Griffin closed the curtains on this journey called life Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Services to commemorate Mrs. Griffin’s life, will begin with a Viewing and Visitation on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations from 6pm-8pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 commencing at 1pm at Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Following the life honoring services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Griffin along with her adored family, will be escorted to her earthly resting place in the Beaver Hill Cemetery.
Although this is a task that no family wishes to partake, God promised to give them a strength that surpasses all understanding and He can do what no other power can do.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her father James Henry Blount Sr of Plainfield, New Jersey her children, Jvaughn, Juamont and Tameeka Griffin all of Edenton, NC and Tamara Griffin of Elizabeth City, NC. Seven Grandchildren; Tionna, Jvaughn Jr, Tiarra, Jayce, Justice, Julian, and Taylor. Two great-grandchildren, Jahari and Khalani. Siblings: Ray (Pearl) Blount, Cheryl James, James Blount Jr., Carlesta (Corey) Statum, Craig Grant, Derrick (Shirene) Grant, Anita Blount, Margie (Marqus)Duncan, Barry (Meeka) Blount, Patricia Grant, and Joseph Grant.
