Cynthia Rowena (Wells) White

With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mrs. Cynthia Wells White as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Mrs. White transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 receiving her heavenly summons while resting at her residence. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 1pm at Ryan’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. White will lie in peaceful repose from 12 noon until time of service. It will be an adjustment for Mrs. White’s and friends not being able to spend time with her any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Immediately following the order of service, a Committal Service will come forth in the Cedarwood Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

Cynthia leaves to mourn her passing her devoted husband of 45 years, Ronnie of Edenton, NC; her four sons Oscar Wells (Ivy), Ahoskie, NC, Rodrick White, Ocean City, NJ, Philemon White, Portsmouth, VA, Joel White, Portsmouth, VA; eleven grandchildren, Tyreese Wells, Hampton, VA, Hanson Wells, Ahoskie, NC, Langston Wells, Ahoskie, NC, Markel White, Edenton, NC, Honestee White, Edenton NC, Philemon White Jr., Edenton, NC, Isaiah White, Baltimore, MD, Autumn White, Baltimore, MD, Summer White, Baltimore, MD Justus Sykes, Baltimore, MD, Ja’Mirah White, Newport News, VA; three sisters, Debbie Wells, Waldorf, MD, Bertha Wells Bryant (Calvin), Waldorf, MD, Cathy Wells, Hertford, NC; three brother in-laws, Edward Harrell, Hertford, NC, Jerry L. White (Sharon),  Donald R. White; one sister in-law Dorothy G. White; two nieces, Shavena Wells, Brooklyn, NY, Brianna Bryant, Waldorf, MD, one nephew, Khahlil Wells, Brooklyn, NY; one great aunt, Julia Ashe, Roper, NC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
