It is with sincere sadness that the Horton Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Ms. Cynthia Linette Riddick peacefully answered the Master's call on April 13,2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Moments have been etched in time for family and friends to pay homage to Cynthia on Wednesday April 20,2022 at 1pm where the Celebration of Life Service will be called to order in the Chapel of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations with Pastor Ann Foreman Barber, Officiating. Immediately following the services in the Chapel Cynthia’s earthen vessel along with her cherished family will be escorted to Cedar Wood Cemetery for Committal Rites. As hard as it will be for Cynthia’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and family. She is survived by her two daughters, Quaysia Thomas of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Quenthia Thomas of Yuma, Arizona; loving mother, Reba Riddick of Hampton, Virginia and wonderful father Preston Davis of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; three brothers, Kenelem Riddick of Hampton, Virginia, Preston Davis Jr, Jeffrey Davis and Justin Davis (deceased); two sisters Christina Davis and Reequita Walson all of Elizabeth City, NC; grandfather Albert Davis of Chapanoke, North Carolina and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Carrie Riddick and Mattie Davis. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
The professionals at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Riddick and connected families.
