Clemestine (White) Murphy

With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mrs. Clemestine Murphy as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Mrs. Murphy transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, October 4, 2024 receiving her heavenly summons while resting at ECU Health Medical Center. 

A Triumphant Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1pm at Apostolic Faith Church of God and Christ Headquarters with Bishop Calvin Johnson, Officiating and Dr. Kera L. Johnson, Eulogist. A Viewing and Visitation will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. It will be an adjustment for Mrs. Murphy’s family and friends not being able to spend time with her any longer while here.  However, the silver lining is just as the songwriter penned, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be, when we all see Jesus we will sing and shout the victory.” 

Immediately following the order of service, a Committal Service will come forth in the Beaver Hill Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

Guests are being received at the residence of the deceased located at 107 Ryan’s Grove Rd Edenton, North Carolina, where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.
