Claude Lawrence “Larry” Cooke

Claude Lawrence “Larry” Cooke, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Larry, son of the late Richard Benjamin Cooke Sr. and Muriel Lois Spruill, was a native of Elizabeth City, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Anne Cooke West, and his brothers, Richard B. Cooke Jr., Robert V. Cooke, and Johnny Cooke. Larry is survived by his sons Tyler Cooke and Spencer Cooke and one grandson. He is also survived by a long friend Jenny Jones of Elizabeth City, NC and her four children Taylor Jones, Eric Jones, Julian Jones and Mia Jones all of Elizabeth City, NC, who he considered family. 

Larry was an active member of the community in Elizabeth City, NC where he resided and a Veteran for the Armed Forces (where he served honorably in the United States Army). Larry will be remembered as a kind and caring person. He will be deeply missed by many friends.
