Charles Conray Hunter

With many mixed emotions and understandably broken hearts, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with family of Mr. Charles Conray Hunter as they prepare to say “Until We Reunite." Mr. Hunter transitioned from this Life on May 11, 2023 in Arlington, VA.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Mr. Hunter have been finalized and will commence on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 3pm at Horton’s Memorial Chapel in Columbia, NC where a Triumphant Homegoing Celebration will be held. As hard as it will be for Mr. Hunter’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing....We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife, Avis Hunter, Lorton, Va; five children, Maria Hunter, Conyers GA, Sade Brown (Justin) Atlanta, GA, Kiara Williams (Samuel) Kinston, NC, Tomika Rhodes, Atlanta,GA, Shanika Rhodes, Alexandria,VA; stepchildren, Terrell Pough, Lorton, VA, Chantel Pough, Lorton,VA; Grandchildren,Kalaya Pough, Ka’Nayiah Gatson, Khaliah Gatson, Journi Pough, Kamora Pough, Jolene Lloyd, Joelle Lloyd, Ariah Ellison, Kennedi Hunter-Stephens, Jace Davis-Rhodes, Joseph Lloyd, Jaden Brown, Josiah Lloyd, Alani Pough,  Jade Williams, Jada Williams, Verrell Pough, and a host of nieces, nephews,cousins other relatives and friends.
