Cecil James Freeman

As all remain in extreme sorrow and astonishing disbelief, the Horton’s Funeral Home Family joins with the family of Mr. Cecil James Freeman as they prepare to say, “Until We Reunite."  Mr. Freeman transitioned from this Life on Friday, May 10, 2024.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Cecil have been finalized and will commence on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Gates County High School Gym at 1pm with Rev. Robert E. Jordan, Eulogist. 

Immediately following the formalities in the gymnasium, Mr. Freeman’s physical temple along with his adored family, will be escorted to the Johnson Family Cemetery for Interment Rites. 

Guests are being received at the residence of the deceased, located at 977 Middle Swamp Rd Corapeake, North Carolina where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

As hard as it will be for Cecil’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing....We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
