Bobby Lee Mackey

With many mixed emotions and understandably broken hearts, the Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Family joins with family of Mr. Bobby Lee Mackey as they prepare to say “Until We Reunite." Mr. Mackey transitioned from this Life on September 17,2024 while resting at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. 

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Bobby have been finalized and will commence with The Celebration of Life that will take place Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Engelhard, NC. Mr. Mackey will lie in peaceful repose from 12noon until time of service. 

Following the life honoring services in the sanctuary, Mr. Mackey along with his adored family, will be escorted to his earthly resting place in the Mackey Family Cemetery. 

As hard as it will be for Bobby’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing....We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

His legacy of kindness and boundless energy will continue to inspire those who knew him, as they hold onto the cherished memories of the times they shared.
