It is with sincere sadness that the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthly transition of Ms. Ava Marie Shelton as she peacefully answered the Master's call on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. 

Services Remembering a Life Well-Lived will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, January 25,2022 between the moments of 5pm and 7pm at Horton’s Memorial Chapel in Columbia, NC where Ms. Shelton will lie in peaceful repose. On Wednesday, January 26, 2022 commencing at 1pm there will be a Triumphant Legacy Celebration in the sanctuary of Mt. Pilgram Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Engelhard, North Carolina. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Brown Memorial Cemetery. It is in this place that her physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

The professionals at Horton’s Memorial Chapel are accommodating each request and personal desire of the Shelton and connected families.
