Arvin Lavelle Johnson

As all remain in extreme sorrow and astonishing disbelief, the Horton’s Funeral Home Family joins with the family of Arvin Lavelle Johnson as they prepare to say, “Until We Reunite."  Arvin transitioned from this Life on Friday January 10,2025 at his residence.

The heartbreaking task of planning the Life Remembering services for Arvin have been finalized and will commence on Sunday, January 19,2025 at 3pm at Winfall Town Hall. As hard as it will be for Arvin’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing....We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

He leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife of 25 years,  Kimberly, his mother Jean Ferebee (Charlie), five sons, Demetrice Bennett of the home, Ra’Shawn Briscoe of Missouri, Tyshawn Whidbee of Brooklyn NY, Allen Johnson of Raleigh, NC, Steven Skinner of Lakeland, FL, five daughters, Alicia Hassan of Providence RI, Ciara Johnson of Greenville, NC, Deana Johnson of Boca Raton FL, Nylea Johnson of Raleigh, NC, and Nkyra Johnson of Edenton, NC, 14 grandchildren, one sister, Rhonda Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC and one brother, Ryan Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC, a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
