With tender hearts and compassionate hands, the Horton’s Funeral Home Family announces the earthy transition of a gentle soul, Annie Virginia Parks Smith affectionately know as “Spook”. Spook quietly stepped out of life's backdoor on November 8,2022.

Viewing and Visitation will take place Friday November 18,2022 from 6-8pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 19,2022 at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations in Hertford, NC with Dr. Darius J. Horton, officiating. Following the services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Smith’s delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for committal rights. Yes this is as far as her relatives can trod with her on this side of eternity, however, they can find solace understanding she is now in that land flowing with milk and honey and the King of Kings is present with all the saints that have made it over and each are praising our Savior all the day long. 

Guests are being received at the residence of the deceased 133 Cannons Ferry Road Edenton, NC where they will also gather in preparation for the Horton Ebony Motorcade.
