With sincere compassion and concern, the Horton Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Ms. Alice Faye Boyce affectionately known as “BIG FAYE” as they prepare to celebrate her lasting legacy. Mrs. Boyce transitioned into eternal rest on Friday July 26,2024 while resting in ECU Health Chowan Hospital Edenton, NC.

Services commemorating this priceless gem will be held Saturday August 3,2024 at 2pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel  with Rev. Shomari Bullard, officiating. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss. 

Alice Faye’s delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to the Beaver Hill Cemetery for committal rights.

As hard as it will be for Alice Faye’s loved ones to depart without her, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”

Guests are being received at 320 Fork Road Tyner, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Horton Ebony Motorcade.

Alice leaves to cherish her memories her son ,James Boyce (April) of Ahoskie,NC; three grandsons, Semaj Boyce of Raleigh NC, Landen Boyce of Ahoskie NC, and Myles Stanley of Edenton NC; sister, Edith Walton of Tyner NC; three Brothers, Richard Walton (Earlene) of Sunbury, NC, Jasper Walton and Jerry Walton of Tyner, NC; Aunt, Annie Elliot of Tyner NC; two godsons, Charles Ray Stanley and Wilbur Stanley of Edenton,NC; goddaughter, ShaShana Wilder of Atlanta, Georgia. From her late husband she was blessed with 5 Sisters-in-laws, Doris Ann Wilson(Ervin), Faye Boyce(Gene), Mary Cofield (Sam),Edith Boyce(Alfred) and Mattie Carter; Aunt-n-law, Mother Lillie White; and a host of Nieces, Nephews Cousins and Friends. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Junior Boyce, parents Wilbur and Harriet Walton and her Father and Mother-n-Law Artis and Pauline. Boyce, her three brothers, Randolph(Gladys), Eurcell, James and Robert Walton.
