Bowing in humbled submission to the will of our Heavenly Father, it has become the solemn responsibility of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations to inform all that Alfred Ricketts is now resting in paradise. Mr. Ricketts put down the cares of this life on Friday November 1,2019 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation Hertford,NC

Mr. Ricketts family has reserved Thursday November 7,2019 as the day to celebrate his life with a Triumphant Celebration of Life service held at Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations at 1pm.

Al”, as he was affectionally called, matriculated through the New York Public School System where he obtained his high school diploma. Al was employed as a custodian for many years, where he took pride and joy in his work. Al was an avid lover of sports and could often be found routing for his favorite teams, The New York Giants and The New York Knicks. Al was a lover of life. In his spare time, you would find him listening to smooth jazz or enjoying the musical ensembles composed by one of his favorites, Barry White.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a loving wife, Ogdene Ricketts of the home; three daughters, Renee Coker, Yvette Adams, and Florence Purdy; special nieces, Felicia Ricketts and Gail Ricketts; and a host of many relatives and friends that he loved dearly.
