Albert Copeland Sr.

With loving arms of compassion the Horton’s Funeral Home Family is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. Albert Copeland Sr. as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Mr. Copeland closed the curtains of life on Sunday, August 21, 2022. 

The Glorious and Triumphant Life Celebration events have been methodically orchestrated and will proceed in the following order.  Beginning on Monday, August 29, 2022 between the hours of 5pm and 7pm at Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremation, Mr. Copeland will lie in state for a final glimpse for family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 2pm at White Oak Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop T.L. Davis, Officiating. 

Immediately following the order of service, an intimate Committal Service will come forth in the Piney Grove A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery. It is in this place that his physical temple will remain until time is called into eternity and those who are sleep in Christ will rise first to meet Him in the air.

As hard as it will be for Albert’s loved ones to depart without him, God our Heavenly Father promised to give peace that will surpass all of our understanding even in the midst of grief and sorrow. The hymnologist said it best... when he put pen to parchment writing.... “We’ll understand it better all by and by.”
