I give my condolences to the family. My heart is extremely heavy to know that Mr. Pete has transitioned. I met Mr.Pete on a construction site on Military Highway when I graduated from high school looking for a job during the summer before going to College. He directed me to Bebo who poured concrete and I was hired the same day. Mr. Pete and I became very close friends over the years working with him on various jobs, hanging out, etc. They referred to me as “chief” and we all had some great memories!! Mr. Pete taught me so much about life, construction, how to be a hard worker and the ministry of dedication! He could be stern and ruff around the edges yet have a sincere caring heart. Mr.Pete encouraged me to finish college and learn all I can. Mr. Pete had his own limitations with education yet he was extremely smart, knowledgeable and was a man of great wisdom! He kept a bible verse in his wallet. We would often talk about “the Good Lord” as Mr Pete would say! My family loved Mr. Pete and we are so grateful that God allowed our paths to cross. He will forever live in our hearts and we plan to see you on the other side! ”Alright Captain” Love you dearly Mr. Pete, R.I.P.
