With sincere compassion and concern, the Hortons Family stands hand in hand with the relatives of Mr. James W. Whidbee as they prepare to celebrate his lasting legacy. Mr. Whidbee transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday morning November 17,2018 in Brooklyn, NY.

An Triumphant Celebration of Life Service of Remembrance for Mr. Whidbee will take place on Saturday November 24,2018 at 2pm at Greater Saunders Grove Baptist Church with Bishop Landon B. Mason officiating. Mr. Whidbee’s physical temple will lie in repose in the main sanctuary of the church from 1pm until 2pm for those who wish to visit with him prior to the formal life honoring service.  During these moments, each participant and attendee can reflect on the fond memories of Mr. Whidbee and console his loving relatives as they say “farewell” to such a special part of their family. Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Whidbee and his cherished family will be escorted to the Dozier’s Thicket cemetery for Committal Rites.
