In extreme sorrow, the staff of Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is embracing the tender hearts of the family of Mr. David Earl Pugh. Mr. Pugh received his angelic wings June 19,2019 in Scotland Neck,NC.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday June 29,2019 at 2pm in the Sanctuary of Branches Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Moments of Visitation have been allotted prior to the Service from 1pm until 2pm. During this time, family and visitors can reminisce on the days of old and embrace everlasting memories, while beginning the healing process as a result of this devastating loss.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Elizabeth Pugh and Floyd Gatling. Aunts: Jerleen Pugh, Josie Pugh, Gladys P. Smith and Sarah Fisher, uncle’s John W. Pugh, George Pugh, and James Pugh, cousins Iris L. Murphy, John L. Pugh, John W. Pugh and Nickie Demery, grandparents Mozella P. Smith and John H. Pugh.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son Cliff C. Pugh of Rich Square, N.C., sisters Vernice Clark and Redial Clark of the home, Diane Gatling of Aulander, N.C., and Angela Harris (Robert) of Lewiston, N.C., brothers Timothy Gatling and Willie Gatling (Monica) of Aulander, N.C., nieces Lakeisha Clark, and Janiyah Robinson of the home and Katina Clark of Tarboro. N.C., nephew Milkie Clark of Woodland, N.C., special friends Waverly Bryant and Patrice Majette., and a host of other relatives and friends.
