Curlue Marrie (Harris) Riddick

In extreme sorrow, the staff of Horton’s Funeral Home and Cremations staff and family is embracing the tender hearts of the loved ones of Mrs. Curlue Marie Riddick better know as(Ree-Ree). Mrs. Riddick received her angelic wings Sunday Morning while resting at her daughters residence in Stone Mountain,Georgia.

The Legacy events will begin on Thursday evening between the hours of 5pm and 7pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church  Norfolk, VA , where Mrs. Riddick will lie in tranquil repose for family and friends to gather for a public visitation and a service of Reflection. On Friday, a Glorious Farewell Celebration will be held at Galatia Missionary Baptist Church in Hertford ,NC commencing at 12 noon. Immediately following the services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Riddick’s delicate vessel along with her adored family will be escorted to the Church Cemetery for Interment Rites.  It will be in this designated location that Mrs. Riddick’s earthly temple will remain until Gabriel blows his trumpet and the King of Kings descends from Heaven with one foot on the celestial seas and one foot on a crimson cloud commanding all of His beloved children to enter into their mansion beyond the skies. Although this Friday will be a sad one for Mrs. Marie’s family having to say “good-bye” to this precious gem, all can find solace knowing she is in that Land where everyday is going to be like Sunday and there is always “Howdy Howdy” and never anymore “good-byes." 

Mrs. Riddick was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Riddick. She leaves to cherish her memories her son, James Riddick of Norfolk, Va; and a host of grandchildren, cousins and friends.
