James Warren Mallard

Mr. James  Warren Mallard of 223 East Broad Street Elizabeth City,NC entered into eternal rest on April 16,2017 at his residence.

Celebration of Life will take place on Friday April 21,2017 at 12noon at New Beginning United Fellowship Church Elizabeth City, NC with Pastor Tony T.  Rice, Officiating . Internment will follow at Albert G. Horton's Veteran's Cemetery Suffolk,VA.

To know James was to Love him, He was a very unique man, he enjoyed a good Chest game ( he was a chess champion you know) he loved to dress, and had  a hat for every suit and every occasion. He also had a love for his cars the Rose Royce and his Mercedes- Benz.  He had intelligence beyond belief and a personality that matched. He was a resourceful & generous person. He honestly just “Had it All”!!! He loved to laugh, and he loved his family.

In his passing, left to cherish his memory very devoted wife, Charlita Mallard, Daughters, Helen Williams (Elizabeth City), Janice Mallard (New York), Melanie Mallard (Elizabeth City) and his son James Mallard Jr.  three stepchildren: Sharis Manning(Tivia Manning), Charlita Alen, Zaire Alen ;grandsons, Nolan Peterson, Steven Peterson (Shonnetta), Mike Peterson (Regina), John Peterson, Nayshawn Lawson; grand daughters, Tanya Tenturier-Brinkley, & Brina Harrell, and a host of grand's and one great-great grandson;two sister in-laws,  Carol Manning & Rhonda Bourne (Kenneth Bourne);one brother in-law Anthony Manning ( Jessica Manning); and a host of extended relatives and friends that he leaves to cherish for evermore.

Mr. Mallard's Remains rest in the care and comfort of Horton's Funeral Home and Cremations Hertford, NC.
