George Washington Brothers

We little knew that day, 
God was going to call your name. 
In life we loved you dearly, 
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone. 
For part of us went with you, 
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories, 
Your love is still our guide. 
And although we cannot see you, 
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, 
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again. 

Mr. George Washington Brothers 79, answered the masters call for eternal rest on Saturday February 24,2018 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center.

Celebration of Life will take place on March 1,2018 at 2pm at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. William Sawyer, officiating. He will lie in state from 1pm until time of service. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery Hertford,NC. Viewing  and visitation will take place at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8pm.

Mr. Brothers leaves to cherish his memories five sons, Joe W. Brothers (Sandra) of Windsor,NC,Robert Thatch,Vincent Thatch,Calvin Thatch (Lynne),Clinton Brothers all of Hertford,NC; daughter, Louise Privott (George) of Hertford,NC; 24 Grandchildren,34 Great Grandchldren,13 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces,nephews,and cousins.

George fought a good fight now he has finished his course and now he has received his crown. Praise be to God!
