Angelo Burke Sr.

Angelo Burke, SR was age 61 of Gales Ferry CT who passed on Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017 at W.W. Backus Hospital in Norwich CT.

Angelo was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 2 1955 the son of the late Eugene Burke, SR and Sophia Johnson-Burke. By his side stands his wife of 30 years Evelyn Hazard-Burke.

In honor Angelo served in the U.S. Army and worked as a A-1 Carpenter in the building trade.

Cherishing his memories by a loving family, Angelo Burke, JR son, daughters Patricia Shonda Geter, Angel Brown and Stepdaughter Natasha Lacey along with her husband and friend Clee Felton. Sibling brothers include Eugene Burke, JR, Reginald Burke and sisters Carmilla Burke and Lucretia Washington. Among his goddaughter Ajalee Benton and grandchildren Leonard Lacey, his wife Danny Nong and Jordan Lacey, SR, De'Ariye Brown, Dionna Brown, Patricia Cece Geter, Travis Tyler Geter and Angelik Gianni. As well as his 3rd generation great grandchildren Larenz Chakri Lacey and Jordan Xavier Lacey, JR and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 1pm at Poplar Run A.M.E. Zion Church Winfall, NC. Viewing and Visitation will take place at the funeral home Friday from 5-7pm.

Mr. Burke's remains rests in the care and comfort of Horton's Funeral Home & Cremation, Hertford, NC.
